Performance Analysis
Performance is one of the key metrics used by businesses to decide if IT is meeting their requirements. Businesses want their applications to perform well, but they don't want to see excessive idle cycles wasted throughout the infrastructure. Aeysis can help in both of these areas. We understand that the only true measure of performance is the user's perception of performance. We have consultants who have spent thousands of hours developing methods, tools, and monitors to determine both actual and perceived system performance. We can quickly prototype test cases and benchmarks for your applications to help you determine if you are fully utilizing or over-utilizing your infrastructure. We can also help identify bottlenecks and provide the system tuning and application enhancements you need to help your business succeed.
Our team of experts has the ability to follow from application code, through the system call layer, and into the kernel. This ensures that you receive a complete and accurate picture. This is a non-trivial exercise and far too often is not done in the field. We find that in the performance analysis space, that most focus is either above or below that system call line. Enterprise applications are complex and involve numerous components of your environment. As each can affect latency and throughput, we will always bring expertise from multiple verticals - operating system, database, network, application, etc. - to ensure proper analysis. When we have completed our analysis, we can provide you a report of our findings, or we can assist you in making the appropriate remediation.

Stability Analysis
In addition to performance, stability is another key element in determining the success of a business. Aeysis believes that application stability can only be measured by the perception of the end user, just as performance is. A user shouldn't be concerned with the cause of a service interruption, but should be able to expect the application to be available without fail. Anything less is unacceptable.
Aeysis will provide a full complement of staff to help measure every aspect of system stability including the infrastructure, the application, and the environment, because ensuring maximum uptime requires the successful coupling of all three. We have staff who can analyze the system as a whole and provide appropriate test cases to help identify areas of weakness. As each area is identified and corrected, we will maintain a regression test suite to ensure that further changes never compromise an existing stable environment. In some cases, your business stability demands may require having redundant hardware at a remote location. This disaster recovery or business continuance planning can also be handled by our consultants.

Security Assessment
At Aeysis, we believe that one of the most difficult tasks that our customers face is ensuring the security of their in-house applications. The protection of data assets and intellectual property is of paramount concern in today's global, connected economy. Most vendors - of both hardware and software - distribute vulnerability information on a regular basis which allows companies to easily track and resolve issues. Microsoft, Sun, Cisco, and Oracle, to name a few, have entire teams dedicated to ensuring the security of their products. Yet some enterprises that develop their own applications fail to have established and continual security audits as well. Studies show that 48% of all breaches are derived internally and many of those are against the business's own applications.
Today there are vast numbers of tools available that carry out "blind" intrusion detection. These scanners run canned tests looking for a basic subset of already disclosed vulnerabilities. At Aeysis, we believe that the approach in this critical area should be more focused and intensive. We will conduct testing based on source code review and discussions with your staff. We will learn your application and create specific tests designed especially for your application. This helps ensure that even against an attacker with intimate knowledge of your applications and their interfaces, your data will be safe. This is a level of comfort not afforded by using generic and arbitrary tools.
